As each birthday approaches, I always contact Jen from Little Dahlias Photography with my idea for the session. For Amelia’s, I was extremely indecisive and sent her approximately 25 different ideas and asked if she could make it look nice. As always, she knocked it out of the park!! Her eye for detail and patience are indescribable. I cannot thank her enough for capturing so many amazing pictures of my littlest lady!
Newborn
There will never be another time when your baby is this little and precious.
From their tiny fingers to those sweet, sleepy moments, these are memories you'll want to cherish forever. A newborn photography session is the perfect way to freeze these precious moments in time.

Children
Showcase your child’s unique qualities at this stage in their life.
Whether you want to capture that adorable gap between their teeth or have a holiday themed experience, these are moments you want to treasure! A children’s portrait session is a perfect way to remember them just the way they are now.

Family
For milestones or just for fun, family portraits capture the story of your family.
Don’t blink! The years go by in an instant as our families grow and change through the seasons. Parents, you’re part of this story too! Preserve these seasons for generations to come with a family photo session. Your kids and grandkids will thank you.

Hi, I’m Jen—a Delaware newborn and family photographer, professional baby snuggler, toddler wrangler, and memory maker. I specialize in in-home newborn sessions, outdoor family photos, and milestone birthday portraits that feel fun, relaxed, and full of personality. I capture real smiles, tiny details, and the beautiful chaos of real life—using soft lighting, a whole lot of patience, and an eye for storytelling.
Around here, we’re all about the real stuff. The giggles, the sticky toddler hugs, the bleary-eyed newborn snuggles—the beautiful, messy moments you’ll want to remember forever. Capturing a mix of natural moments and guided posing to keep everything relaxed and actually fun. You just show up as you are—I’ll take care of the rest.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me having tea parties with my grandkids, crocheting a (still unfinished) star-shaped blanket, dodging the opinions of my two elderly black cats and one very sassy tortie, or creating epic cosplays with my daughter. Life’s a little messy around here—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
All families, all backgrounds, and all personalities are welcome. However your story looks, it’s worth celebrating—and I’d be honored to help you tell it.
I’m based in Wilmington, DE and happily traveling throughout Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs, South Jersey, and Delaware.

Her eye for detail and patience are indescribable. I cannot thank her enough for capturing so many amazing pictures…

There are a lot of photographers out there, but very few with the skills and artistry that Jen possesses.

As an artist and photographer myself, I had a certain vision for how I wanted my family portraits to look. Jen helped me with suggestions for locations, wardrobe, and everything I would need to do on my end to make the photos exactly what I wanted. On the day of the session, Jen was full of ideas and was able to work calmly and easily with me, my husband, our teenager, and our four dogs to get some really spectacular photos. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I also have some body image insecurities, and Jen was able to help me look my best from wardrobe selection all the way to final retouching and printing. There are a lot of photographers out there, but very few with the skills and artistry that Jen possesses.

I appreciate how easygoing, yet professional you are, especially for folks who aren’t always eager to take a photo.

I just wanted to reach out and thank you for working with us on Saturday. I appreciate how easygoing, yet professional you are, especially for two folks who aren't always eager to take a photo. I appreciate even more, your willingness to trudge through and even get down in the snow for the angle.
